In
Europe nearly every body knows at least the name Ibiza, although only a
small island, people are informed through the mass media like magazines,
TV, etc. These information are colored by the need for glamour and sensations
and show only one limited aspect. So when one hears the keyword 'Ibiza'
then there are thoughts triggered like sex, drugs, crazy people, etc. Hardly
never the beautiful and special landscape is described and nobody tells
about the creative energy of Ibiza which attracts many artists like poets,
painters and musicians. - And also seeker who are looking for an alternative
way of life... That there are also some hermits, philosophers and genius
scientists living on Ibiza, only very few people know.
There
is a whole world, totally different from what is told and what people know.
The media are not interested to write about it and tourists never find
out, they stay in their hotels near the beach and of course they don't
want to know any thing else or they drive with 'safari tours' through the
country side, making a lot of dust and noise, but in reality not seeing
anything beside there own need for entertainment.
To
discover the other side of Ibiza it needs openness and the urge to go behind
one's own limited view and habits and this can't happen in short vacation
coming as a tourist. One has to drop parts of the outside world and with
this one's own personalitywith ones expectations and concepts, - to be
able to receive. This indeed is a complex, transforming process with many
aspects...
