How to build the Sauna Box    updated 26.10.03

The box should be that high that when you sit on the chair, then your head shows out of the hole, your shoulders touching the box when your back is straight. Don't make the box too big then you need too much steam, but with some space around you. The inside should be painted or covered with plastic how I did it. The floor covered with a water proof material and the level so, that water can run out. The door should have the possibility to be closed from inside and from outside. The hole on the top must be big enough that your head easily passes through. Then use a loose piece of wood to close the hole around your neck.
You shouldn't use press wood how I did. Even though I had covered the inside with plastic, the heat and the humidity destroyed the wood after using the box for one year.
I just found a very heavy wooden box which was used to transport machinery. From this I will make a new sauna box...
